Hydropathic Treatment & Water

"For healthy people water is an excellent means of maintaining their health and power, also being the easiest and most natural means of healing." (Sebastian Kneipp)

Sebastian Kneipp is not the inventor of the water theory, however quite early on he realized the favourable effect water has in combination with healing plants.

Sebastian Kneipp developed a theory concept consisting of 5 components that is still valid today and highlights the main elements involved in hydropathic treatment (also known as the Kneipp cure): water, healing plants, movement, diet and joy of life.

Although he is not a medical doctor, his name has established itself within medicine as few others have.  Pastor Kneipp (1821 to 1897) did little to achieve this recognition other than - preaching about water.  He found hundreds of thousands of followers simply by doing this.

Water is a good means of transport in order to administer active substances to the body and cleansing the body of harmful substances.  The effect of hydropathic water applications is based on the strengthening of the self-healing powers of the body through mild to strong impulses.  The cold-warm temperature influences resulting from the water stimulate the blood circulation and activate one's metabolism as well as the purification of the body.

Similar to the fundamental principle of hydropathic treatment, the effect of revitalized water is based on self-cleansing of water.  Consequently water can regenerate itself and build up its original power and strength again.
