Introduction:
Water is not only H2O when obtained as groundwater or spring water.
Water also contains a number of microorganisms whose natural habitat is the cool water. Drinking water from the tap is by no means germ-free, but is full of bacteria.
To be precise, one glass of water contains around ten million bacteria.
Sounds scary, but it's not a bad thing as long as it's the "good" ones.
If there are not enough "good" bacteria, the "bad" bacteria have more nutrients and take over. The water tilts, becomes undrinkable and can only be reused by adding chemicals.
A team of scientists from 6 European universities has now tested whether magnetic water treatment has the potential for management of drinking water biostability and is suitable as a sustainable, chemical-free alternative to current treatment methods.
The experiment:
The experimental trial was to fill 48 beakers with drinking water, half of which were then exposed to weak magnetic fields at high magnetic fluctuations using a water core magnet.
Samples were taken from each beaker at regular time intervals and under sterile conditions, and the number of microbial cells in each sample was determined by flow cytometry.
Results:
The effects of the magnetic field applied by the GRANDER Energy Rod Double is beneficial in maintaining the biostability of drinking water and the number of desirable, naturally occurring bacteria in the water has increased and a kind of pro-biotic effect is established in the water.
